On our first full day in Alaska we raised our moose count to 8 including this little guy and we moved into Orca Lodge where our home will be a 16' x 20' log cabin for the next seven days. The cabin is on the banks of the Kenai river. Today we took to the river in hip boots in search of sockeye (red) salmon. Ronnie, Tyler, and I all landed nice fish which have been turned into Patty, the lodge manager for smoking. Tomorrow we will fish for halibut.

It looks like the salmon fishing came right back to Ronnie and Tyler! Make sure that they take some pictures of you, too. Can't wait to hear about the halibut fishing trip - hope no one gets too seasick.
You can't really type out the halibut joke, can you? Because if you write "fishing for halibut just for the halibut", no one will get it. And the same goes for "halibut just for the hell of it". The connection isn't made. So I guess I hope you just have fun.
