July 15 - Fargo to Mpls.

Today has been a fun and busy day. We left Fargo around noon after Ron finished up at the Reserve Center. The morning temp was 57 degrees and it had warmed up a bit. We stopped at the grocery store to get lunch food. We ate a picnic in the car while driving to Mpls. It was about 4 pm when we got there. Local temp - 92 degrees. Thank goodness for air conditioning! The nice lady on the GPS we borrowed from Grandpa Ron helped us find our hotel in Eagan. After checking in, we headed to the nearest Outback Steakhouse for supper. Then we drove to Lake Harriet and walked around it (3 miles) and then went across the street to the Rose Garden in Lyndale Park. As we were heading back to our hotel, we spotted a billboard for the Walker Art Center and decided to head there. We walked around the outdoor sculpture gardens for a little while and then headed back to the hotel to watch the All-Star baseball game. The pictures go in order of our day, starting with our Secret Service vehicle and ending with a shot of the Mpls. skyline.
