July 22 - Colorado through Wyoming

Wyoming wins the prize so far for the most varied landscape. One minute it’s flat and wide open, the next it is mountainous, the next it is sheer rock faces, the next it’s rolling hills. It certainly has had the most topographical changes that we’ve seen (at least from our view on the interstate). We watched a storm brewing over the hills/buttes on our left – lots of rolling clouds, getting darker by the minute, and lightening flashes. The rain did reach us, but not too heavy. The Interstate 80 route was very heavily used by semis. There were many miles that we were surrounded by massive semis, sometimes pulling two or three trailers behind one cab. We’ll be glad to get off of I80. The prairie dog picture was taken at a rest stop in Wyoming.
